Two Birthdays in One Wiik!

Within two weeks we celebrated St. Patrick's Day, Spring Break, Easter, my birthday and Blake's birthday. Tonight was Blake's bash (since I have a meeting tomorrow) and now we can take a breather...until April 13 when we'll break out candles for Claire. Here are a few of our 33rd birthday highlights:

Our birthday wishes were granted: I got Dance Dance Revolution and Blake is my new Guitar Hero. Blake has great rhythm, both with the Wii guitar and on the dance mat. He can outperform me on the DDR. I have a "D" average on my scoring and am frequently boo-ed off stage, as my kids look at me in sympathy and give me pointers. Blake gets A's and B's. I remind myself he has background in this arena as he was "Drill Mister" in high school (for an all-boy's "drill team" (quotation marks are necessary) that performed at basketball games) but still it's shameful to admit your husband is more coordinated than you are.

Besides receiving DDR, I was able to have lunch with fun friends (thanks, Robyn!) and didn't have to cook dinner (thanks, Blake!), got a Dr. Pepper delivered to my door (thanks, Sara!), and other fun gifts and cards in the mail (thanks, everyone else!). My biggest surprise came about 3 p.m. when the Fed Ex man dropped off two huge boxes of scrapbook supplies courtesy of Tara, my sister-in-law who works as a designer for Making Memories. From brads, to stickers, and paper, and albums, and tools, and paper flowers! I had so much fun just sorting it in piles and staring at it and my fingers are constantly itching to create stuff.

Swimming through all my new supplies: I made a scrapbook-angel. Look at all this loot!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOTH OF YOU!!! I laughed when you mentioned Blake was "Drill Mister." That brought back some memories of good old MHS!!! Those were the days. I have to say....they were fun days. Jenna, enjoy your stash. That is a scrapbookers DREAM come true.

Happy Birthday! I just love the scrapbook-angel. That would be about the extent of use it would get around my house. I've gone digital, but I envy those who have enough creativity and ambition to do the real thing! Hope you both had really great birthdays! kelli

Happy Birthday to you both! I have to admit, I was wondering what the shape was of the scrapbook supplies til I read the caption. You are funny!

After trying it out at Ceely's, I think we should have a DDR-a-thon! I'm a rookie but it's a blast!
