Bless You

Five of the sweetest moments in my motherhoodiness have been the blessings of our babies. Even when they are scream through it, it's still beautiful. And this baby, who spends the bulk of her day screaming, slept quietly through her blessing (answered prayer!). It was one of those peaceful, sacred moments; the kind you don't want to end, that you feel deep, deep down into your soul.

I still find myself staring into those baby dark eyes and thinking, "How exactly did you get here?" How is there a baby in my house? It's still a surprise to me, sometimes when I'm in the middle of a project and I hear her cry. Oh yes! There's a baby in the house again. How blessed we are.

*No babies were hurt in the making of this post, although she did get fussy towards the end.

I still have her picture on my fridge because she's so gorgeous and I smile every time I see it.
