Father & Son's Campout

This last weekend we had the Aaronic Priesthood Commemorative Outing, or as everyone still refers to it as the Father and Son's Outing, but since some of the brethren brought their daughters, the name of Father and Son's will probably be put out to pasture eventually. We went to the same campground we went to last year atop Mount Lemmon just outside Tucson. It's a great place with nice ramadas with electricity and running water - even the outhouses didn't smell like outhouses. At elevation 8100 feet, it was refreshingly cool and almost downright chilly at night, but no bugs! Everything there is bear protected, which makes one a little nervous, but the only critter we saw was a curious skunk. Our boys had been looking forward to this for a long time and they had a blast playing with their friends among the rocks and trees. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Update: My eye infection is practically gone, finally, with just a little redness left. I still have another follow-up visit with my eye doctor as my vision out of the eye that had the worst of it was drastically more blurry than my other eye. Hopefully it was just some junk still in my eye. But I can't even tell a difference when I have both eyes open. Glad this is finally over.

The picture of you three together is my favorite! Except I didn't know pirates camped...

Sounds like you and your sons had fun! Can't wait to do that with my future sons!

Ya'll look like you're cast offs from Survivor, albeit very cute ones. Love, jannieoakley

I'm glad your eye infection is almost gone and you didn't go blind. Looks like a fun campout.
