What's with June 4? Who knew birthdates could be popular. That calendar box isn't big enough to hold all the birthday celebratory reminders: There's Uncle Jeff who is a whopping 32 today, and our little Dutch Baby who turned two. And just a few hours ago, our birthday girl got a cousin for her birthday. Happy Birthday, everyone. Congrats, Rich and Amber!
Dutch Baby spent the first part of her big day watching her siblings have swim lessons. She wasn't allowed in the pool and was pretty sad. So
Post-nap brought her favorite birthday surprise: Balloons! She wouldn't let go of them and held on tight all through dinner.
Her birthday party consisted of blowing out her candles on her very own sugar cookie and "opening" her presents. Quotation marks are necessary because what she did was take off the blanket we put on top of it. I like to think we are going green and saving the earth by this no-waste wrapping. But really we're just kind of lazy. It was a big water and sand table, and would have been tricky to wrap, but 2 Utah Jazz throw blankets did the trick. That in itself is tribute to Uncle Jeff. Glad we could celebrate together, Jeffy.
