Breathe, Buddy. Breathe!

How do you begin to fill a blank canvas of a post that needs three months of life squished up in it? And how come I struggle to want to post all these fun memories of the spring not recorded? My poor blog has just the faintest heartbeat registering on the monitor and sadly, there is little hope for full recovery. Well, who knows. Maybe the shock of a post will be enough to postpone it's ultimate demise. Just hold on a little longer, Bloggy. I'm here for a little resuscitation.

Suppose I start where I left off. After Young Padawan was baptized, the in-laws stayed for a week. When Grandpa and Grandma come, we do things we don't usually do, like take the kids on outings. We went bowling. I tried to beat Papa Fred, but the better I bowled, the better he did. He doesn't like to lose, especially to a girl who's not that good. I tried to joke around with him when we played, but not losing is serious stuff.

We loved having them stay and look forward to their next visit.

Part of advancement as a Young Padawan is having your face painted. This qualifies as induction into a Jedi Academy known as Cub Scouts on our planet.

Training in this academy includes being able to turn a block of wood into a car (or dare I say, watching your dad do it, and then picking out the color it should be painted.) Young Padawan's pod didn't do so good. He lost every race, even against the leader's cars who deliberately made theirs so they would lose. It was an exercise in character, and our Padawan took it like a true Jedi.

Oh I was proud, watching that kid lose over again and keep laughing about it! He's a good boy.

Well,
 Enough for today.
Too big of a shock might kill it.

Keep it up. It took some hard work but our blog was brought back to life. I believe in you! We like to see those cute kids of yours.

Grandpa Fred and I sound a lot alike. Please keep posting, because I miss you. Free lunch in Maricopa this year? If so I may see you more often.
